Something is bothering me about the Gaijin Gamers and their plans to do away with the pitched up voices. In my opinion, the voices are a big part in the Gaijin Gamers' appeal.

Gaijin Goombah doesn't want to play the character anymore, which he has said before and the compromise For Gaijin to use his real voice but still under the moniker. YouTube is his job and dropping the whole gimmick can lose him money. Gaijin is at a crossroad right now. I assume he never thought that him being a YouTuber would become his job. He as also said that people don't recognize him when at cons and other events but that isn't truth as any fan can recognize him.

But lets look at Allochii and Akiterra, whose characters main appeal is the pitched up voice. This change will affect them the most. Aki's character is very hyperactive and a lot of her wacky actions are affected by the squeaky voice. It's this that really appeals to my love of the character. Her new show, Aki Plays, relies heavily on her squeaky voice. Out of this, I haved failed to hear Aki's opinion on the matter.

We move on to Allochii. The Allochii character is that of a shy boo and the pitched up voice carries the character. Allochii is known for her catch phrases like "I'm a boo with a frying pan" and "Ink yo base" and the voice helps make it cuter. Hearing her talk as she explains her "Pro Not Pro Tips" was just so cute and is a contrast to Gecko.

Speaking of The Gecko Ninja, he will be affected the least as his voice doesn't change a lot during the pitch shift, and real life Gecko is still as pervy as Gaijin Gamer Gecko.

With Gaijin wanting to change, Allochii and Gecko, in my opinion, are trying to be supportive but their characters will be affected, but, Akiterra is going to be the most affected as she has just started her series. Gecko uses Gaijin to promote his work and if Gaijin ultimately drops the gimmick, Gecko can lose money in the process.

Now what happens when Gaijin changes and his YouTube career suffers? This change will probably prevent him from going back. Him switching between Goombo and human forms is confusing as is for Culture Shock, which is why he's going back to just Goombo form. His role in Game Theorists could also be affected, too, as it was the character that most likely caught MatPat's attention.

Being a YouTuber is difficult. You want to appeal to people, so people like Gaijin, create a persona or gimmick, but, that gimmick can begin to feel like it's preventing you from moving on. Maybe Gaijin wants to talk about more that Japan, but, the character was created for that purpose, thus preventing anything from happening.

On a side note, the Lonely Goomba also went through this problem as well last year before ultimately deciding to keep the character, but, changing up on the format a bit. A month or two later Gaijin begun expressing his dislike for playing the character. So, it may have influenced the coming out, though, like Lonely Goomba, Gaijin may have been thinking about it for awhile, but, Lonely Goomba, gave him the push.

This "article" so to speak used affected a lot and contained many assumptions, but, this has been on my mind as I haven't really accepted all these changes and this is a very big change. When you wake up at 4:30am thinking about this, it's affecting you emotionally.

In no way is this slander just the opinion of a dedicated fan.

There are a lot of assumptions here, most of which aren't true. I'm planning on hosting a small Q&A stream by myself on my personal channel either Thursday or Friday, so people can come and discuss things with me, ask questions, etc so I can clear the air of all this confusion. I wanna be as transparent as possible with you guys.

Also Lonely Goomba had absolutely nothing to do with this, just need to get that out there.
